Your information

Privacy at Forest Lighthouse

This page explains what personal information we use when you visit our website, contact us, join our newsletter, complete an orientation or book with Forest Lighthouse.

Last updated: 15 September 2026

At a glance

  • We use the information you give us to answer you, organise your visit and deliver the service you request.
  • Newsletter, marketing and optional audience measurement depend on your choice.
  • We do not sell personal information or use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Who is responsible

Education Somatique Bruxelles ASBL (BE 0687.654.873), 274 Rue des Alliés, 1190 Forest, Belgium, is responsible for personal information connected with Forest Lighthouse classes, programmes, studio visits, general enquiries and newsletters. Lighthouse Lab (BE 0765.931.794), at the same address, is responsible for information connected with space rental and the Neurosomatic platform or app. When a service involves both entities, each is responsible for the processing it controls.

Questions or requests: learn@forest-lighthouse.be

Information we collect

  • Identity and contact details, such as your name, email address and telephone number.
  • Bookings, attendance, purchases, programme access and payment status. Card details are entered with the payment provider and are not stored by this website.
  • Messages, rental enquiries and the information you choose to provide when asking for support.
  • Orientation answers about your goals, experience, availability and personal context. Some choices may reveal wellbeing or recovery information; we use them only to provide the match or support you requested, never to make a diagnosis.
  • Neurosomatic account, access and app-use information when that service is included in your programme or requested separately; this is handled by Lighthouse Lab.
  • Newsletter and marketing choices, including when and where consent was given or withdrawn.
  • Technical and campaign information, such as the page visited, referral source, campaign tags, browser data and security logs.

Why we use it

Bookings, purchases and programme delivery
To take steps you request before a contract and to perform our agreement with you.
Questions, orientation and customer support
To answer your request and for our legitimate interest in providing an attentive, reliable service. Where you choose to share sensitive context, we rely on your explicit choice to provide it for that purpose.
Newsletter and other promotional messages
Your consent. These choices are optional and can be withdrawn at any time.
Audience measurement
Your consent. Google Tag Manager is loaded for analytics only after you accept; advertising storage and personalisation remain disabled by our site setting.
Security, administration and legal records
Our legitimate interests in protecting the service and complying with accounting, tax and other legal obligations.

Who receives information

Access is limited to people and service providers who need the information for the purposes above. This can include studio staff and teachers, our website and booking infrastructure, email and newsletter delivery, payment services such as Stripe, hosting services such as Vercel, and Google services used for consented analytics and embedded YouTube video.

A YouTube privacy-enhanced player may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details when a page containing a video loads. Providers may process information outside the European Economic Area; where they do, we require an applicable legal transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights.

How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as its purpose, our relationship with you and applicable law require. Booking, payment and invoice records follow Belgian accounting and tax retention requirements. Enquiries and orientation responses are removed or anonymised when follow-up is no longer reasonably expected, unless they become part of an active client record or are needed for a legal claim. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent; a minimal suppression record may remain so we honour that choice. Technical and analytics information follows the shortest practical security and service settings and is periodically reviewed.

Cookies, local storage and analytics choices

The website uses essential browser storage for security, language, booking continuity and your privacy choice. Campaign source details may be kept for the current browser session and sent with a form you submit. Optional analytics is disabled until you allow it. Changing the choice below updates analytics consent for this browser.

You can change your choice at any time.

Your rights

Depending on the situation, you can ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an explanation of how it is used. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful use. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Send your request to learn@forest-lighthouse.be.

You may also contact or lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority. Belgian Data Protection Authority.

We update this page when our services or data practices change. Material changes will be highlighted here and, when appropriate, communicated directly.
