Alexia Florens

Yoga teacher

Biography

Originally trained as an architect, she learned early on that no structure can stand the test of time without strong foundations. Just as in architecture, every elevation begins with grounding. This philosophy now shapes the way she teaches yoga: cultivating solid foundations so that each student can grow with stability, confidence, and ease. Alongside her architectural career, she has always been deeply passionate about philosophy. Yoga offered her a path where caring for the mind, self-discovery, and cultivating the body through movement come together. Her journey began with a 200-hour Hatha-Vinyasa Teacher Training, which provided her with a strong foundation in both the practice and teaching of yoga. It was through Ashtanga that she discovered a true discipline—one she regards as a science in its own right. Driven by a deep desire to explore the Mysore method and deepen her practice, she traveled to India, where she trained in meditation and sound healing before continuing her studies in Ayurveda. Today, her dynamic flow classes are deeply inspired by the Ashtanga tradition, which she practices daily. Her Gentle Flow classes invite students to slow down and reconnect with themselves, guided by the soothing vibrations of singing bowls to create a space for relaxation, inner awareness, and balance.
