Gaspard Rozenwajn is a multidisciplinary artist from Brussels, an actor, dancer, singer, and graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in dramatic arts. Alongside his stage career, he is deeply committed to the practice of Ashtanga yoga, which he teaches with sensitivity and rigour. His guided practice of the first series of Ashtanga – Yoga Shikitsa (yoga therapy) is based on a subtle dialogue between Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga, between dynamic and static, to promote energy balance. Gaspard offers an approach based on sensory and emotional anatomy, and on the conscious and unconscious appropriation of the body and mind for

More about this program

What kind of practice is Ashtanga Yoga?

Immerse yourself in the practice of Ashtanga Yoga with Gaspard. Work closely with your teacher to learn the sequence, and allow your personal practice to unfold.

Who is Ashtanga Yoga for?

Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic practice that combines synchronised breathing with progressive postures. It improves flexibility, strength and endurance while promoting concentration and inner tranquillity. Ideal for those seeking to combine physical training with mindfulness, this holistic approach to well-being is suitable for all levels. Through regular practice, you will discover the principles, philosophy and asanas with variations adapted to each body.-

What does Ashtanga Yoga help develop?

By learning to listen to, and move in synchronicity with our own breath, we refine our proprioceptive and interoceptive awareness. This brings about a fully embodied sense of being which is essential for healing and wholeness. It is a way of practising that creates independence for the student, and allows space to listen internally rather than following the voice of a teacher, or the pace of a group-class. Having our own practice is an invaluable gift that allows us to plant ourselves directly into the ground of our lived experience every morning as we step onto our yoga mat.

General

What is Forest Lighthouse?

Forest Lighthouse is a centre for somatic and neurosomatic education in Brussels. We explore embodied learning through movement, perception, cognition, and emotional awareness. Our aim is to create the right conditions for learning so each person can discover and develop their abilities through direct experience.

What kinds of classes and trainings do you offer?

We organise workshops, regular classes, private sessions, and professional training programmes. These activities explore different approaches to embodied learning and movement, often with internationally recognised teachers and practitioners.

Who are the events and activities for?

Most activities are open to beginners unless stated otherwise. Somatic education is not about performance or flexibility. It is about learning through attention and exploration, at your own pace. If you have an injury or a particular condition, please let us know in advance.
