Facilitators

Ana is a dancer, Doula, Pilates and Yoga teacher. She began with ballet and then moved on to contemporary dance. She discovered Pilates after a serious knee injury. This approach enabled her and prevent further injury. Ana has been teaching Pilates for over 15 years. Passionate about conscious movement and somatic techniques, Ana has taken anatomy courses in anatomy for movement, so she trained in the Gyrotonic technique. She teaches creative dance in nursery and elementary school in collaboration with Pierre de Lune Ana is trained as a Quantik Doula. She accompanies women, couples and families as a Doula.

Sabine is a multi-disciplined yoga teacher and has built up a profound experience in various yoga styles over more than 15 years. She's certified in Vinyasa, Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, Myo Yin, Yoga Nidra, Face Yoga, Yoga Hands on Assist and Tantra Yoga Alchemy Meditation. Her yoga classes are taught from a holistic and functional approach; form and strict alignments are less important. She rather prefers to offer different options so that each student is invited to explore for themselves the physical and intuitive possibilities appropriate for that moment of experience. Comment se deroule un cours de Yoga Vinyasa Gentle Flow ?

Le yoga est un art de vivre - une façon de bouger, de respirer, de penser et d'évoluer dans le monde en perpétuel changement qui nous entoure et nous habite. Il comprend les asanas (poses), le pranayama (respiration), la méditation, le chant et l'exploration philosophique. Grâce au Vinyasa, nous équilibrons et recadrons notre perception en harmonisant les oppositions à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur. Le mot sanskrit Vinyasa combine « nyasa » (concentrer et relâcher l'attention) et « vi » (arranger en fonction du contexte), ce qui signifie une séquence attentive de mouvements et de respiration. The centre includes two changing rooms, a small coffee and tea area, a kitchen for breaks, and a library with many books on movement, learning, and somatic practices. Mats and basic equipment are available on site.

What is Forest Lighthouse?

Forest Lighthouse is a centre for somatic and neurosomatic education in Brussels. We explore embodied learning through movement, perception, cognition, and emotional awareness. Our aim is to create the right conditions for learning so each person can discover and develop their abilities through direct experience.

What kinds of classes and trainings do you offer?

We organise workshops, regular classes, private sessions, and professional training programmes. These activities explore different approaches to embodied learning and movement, often with internationally recognised teachers and practitioners.

Who are the events and activities for?

Most activities are open to beginners unless stated otherwise. Somatic education is not about performance or flexibility. It is about learning through attention and exploration, at your own pace. If you have an injury or a particular condition, please let us know in advance.
